Mr. Mark Geist is responsible for working on strategic direction and financial management for the company. He was previously the co-founder of Montgomery Asset Management and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Montgomery Asset Management grew to over $11 billion in assets and led the company through the sale to Commerzbank in 1997.  

Since then, Mark has been an investor, board member and advisor to several companies in industries ranging from beverage distribution to internet marketing. In the not-for-profit arena, Mr. Geist currently serves as the President of Breath of Earth Foundation, established to support the creation of sustainable dignified work, women’s empowerment and educational development in underserved communities.  

He has previously served as the President of USA Oil Independence, Inc., whose mission was to develop the financial support for clean affordable energy solutions. Furthermore, he has an MBA in Finance from Iona College and an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut.  

Tom Mulvaney is a member of SEGUENTE’s board of directors providing legal and corporate guidance. Tom has been a private investor and community leader since 2001, and manages and directs the assets of several real estate investment enterprises.

Tom helped establish the Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness and Social Action, which plays a central role in connecting University of San Diego to the community. Mr. Mulvaney, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, has held several strategic positions in his career, including being the Senior Vice President at Seagate Technology.  

As a member of the Governing Board of Acalanes Union High School District, he led several successful political campaigns resulting in super majorities of voters authorizing significant bond measures and parcel taxes. He earned a J.D. from University of San Diego and a B.A. from Santa Clara University.
