SEGUENTE’s COLDWARE servers and racks are integrated with an innovative passive direct to chip two-phase liquid cooling technology solution. These product solutions provide the ultimate reliable, efficient, energy saving solutions that are very economical; thereby, reducing operating expenses. The passive design eliminates the need for water and mechanical pumps, reducing the risk of leaks and mechanical failures. It uses a two-phase cooling process, where heat is absorbed by the coolant, causing it to evaporate. The vapor then condenses back into a liquid in the heat exchanger, ready to absorb more heat. This cycle repeats, providing efficient cooling making COLDWARE a reliable and sustainable solution.
The COLDWARE system supports densities exceeding 250kW per rack, offering a fully integrated and scalable solution. It also maximizes energy efficiency and thermal performance while minimizing costs. These features make SEGUENTE’s COLDWARE a superior choice in liquid cooling solutions.
COLDWARE servers incorporate quick disconnects to facilitate hot-swappable removal of servers from the racks. These quick disconnects have been carefully optimized specifically for two-phase applications.
COLDWARE supports NVIDIA H100/200 GPUs in the SXM5 socket and B200 in the SXM6 socket as well as Intel Gaudi series, and AMD MX300 on the OAM socket platform. In addition, 3rd, 4th and 5th generation Intel Xeon scalable processors and AMD Epic processors on an SP5 socket.
The cooling system is implemented using a choice of either R1233zd(E), R1234ze(E), or R515b as the coolant. R1233zd(E) is a REACH-registered and U.S. SNAP-approved alternative to R245fa designed to make a significant contribution to reductions in global warming since it provides very low greenhouse effect with a GWP ≈ 1, is non-flammable, has no impact on ozone depletion and is chemically stable. R1234ze(E), a medium pressure refrigerant with GWP ≈ 1, unlocks more performance compared to R1233zd(E), while R515b offers the same performance levels as R1234ze(E) with the added benefit of an ASHRAE A1 rating and a GWP < 300.
Our optimized two-phase evaporator matches or exceeds the thermal performance of a single-phase cold plate. It achieves this with 70% or more less mass flow rate at the same power level, making two-phase cooling more efficient and, ultimately, scalable. This efficiency allows for a more compact cooling system size, which is vital as power levels in racks continue to increase. Importantly, our two-phase cooling solution offers better return on investment compared to traditional single-phase DLC cold plate systems, as it provides the same power dissipation at a lower cost. In essence, you get both superior performance and cost-effectiveness with our two-phase cooling solution.
